EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Shortridge Academy is a year-round, college-preparatory therapeutic boarding school for bright and engaging teens from across the US and abroad who are struggling with a variety of issues. Our unique program encourages students to build solid foundations academically, emotionally, and socially.

Licensed Counselor:
We are seeking a full-time Licensed Counselor to join our clinical team. Shortridge is located in Milton, NH, near the NH lakes region and White Mountains.

Qualified Candidates will possess:

  • A Masters Degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
  • A licensure as a LCMHC, LICSW, LMFT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the counseling field.
  • Strong skills in Individual, Group, and Family therapy.

Job Description:

  • Deliver therapeutic services to a team of 8 – 10 students, including weekly individual sessions, weekly family sessions, and multiple groups per week.
  • Provide excellent clinical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with families, referring professionals, and other collateral agencies.
  • Promote therapeutic growth from a Positive Youth Development framework.
  • Provide some clinical oversight of the milieu setting, including some residential hours.

Residential Life Mentors:

  • Full time student mentors to supervise students and oversee activities including physical education and study halls weekday evenings and all day/evenings during the weekends.
  • Part time student mentors for weekday evenings and weekends to assist in urban activities and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and swimming.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with adolescents in educational, therapeutic, and/or milieu settings. Both positions require nights and weekends
