Certifications and Accreditations
Shortridge Academy received its 10-year accreditations in 2009 and 2019 from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We are also honored to be members of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools & Programs. In 2022, we were accredited by The Joint Commission, the worldwide symbol of healthcare quality.
Licensed Staff
The Shortridge team consists of master’s-level therapists and counselors, each trained to provide mental health support to adolescents. Because our therapeutic and academic programs are intertwined, our instructors also possess the credentials and experience necessary to create the type of immersive experience that yields positive long-term outcomes.
Academics
The Shortridge instructional approach was developed to address multiple learning styles and grade levels. We strive to offer challenging courses that simultaneously meet students where they are academically, behaviorally, and emotionally. By providing solutions that allow students to refine their metacognitive abilities, we help them identify and practice the appropriate learning styles that can help them succeed in academic, professional, and social environments.
On-Campus Health Center with a Medical Director
Shortridge Academy’s Health Center delivers health and wellness services to all students of Shortridge. Our healthcare facility is staffed by licensed medical professionals who offer comprehensive care, medication management, health education, and first aid services. The Health Center is open seven days per week until 10 pm, with emergency on-call staff available 24 hours per day.
