Certifications and Accreditations
The New England Association of Schools and Colleges first accredited Shortridge Academy in 2009. In 2019, we earned our second 10-year accreditation.
We are honored to have been granted membership in the National Association of Therapeutic Schools & Programs.
In 2022, we were accredited by The Joint Commission, the worldwide symbol of healthcare quality.
At Shortridge Academy, we offer a holistic view of academic and mental health support. We integrate education and counseling, providing a more immersive experience than many therapeutic programs.
Shortridge offers a team of specialists with in-depth expertise and credentials in adolescent development, and we actively encourage partnering with parents to facilitate the best possible outcomes.
Shortridge Academy has designed a curriculum that supports different learning styles and academic levels; we challenge our students while meeting them where they are. We recognize the urgency of addressing negative or unhelpful behavioral patterns. Our team helps students optimize their metacognitive skillsets to recognize and adopt effective learning styles throughout their academic and professional careers.
Students at Shortridge Academy can explore their talents, gain new interests, and fully mature into confident learners through extracurricular activities and organizations. Supported by a team of highly experienced faculty members, the students at Shortridge are offered opportunities to serve as leaders in numerous student organizations and clubs. Getting involved in different groups helps students acquire interpersonal and leadership talents that support their scholastic and professional endeavors.
On-Campus Health Center with a Medical Director
Our team of medical professionals is available every day until 10 pm, and we offer emergency on-call staff 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Our team of certified healthcare professionals offers nursing care and medical evaluation, medication management, and first aid services. Our medical team will also help coordinate all student appointments with primary care physicians.
